Wasps

Being stung by a wasp is a painful experience especially because they can sting multiple times. Wasps have the potential to attack in large numbers if their nest is disturbed. Contact Precision Pest Management WA for prompt and effective solution to controlling these menaces on your property.

In Western Australia there's predominately two species of wasps you may encounter:

Paper wasps (most common) are about 10-15mm long with long thin wings. Their nests look like a grey papery material.

Wasps

The nests are often found under fence capping, patios, holes in children's play equipment or the eaves of a roof. Colonies generally range from 12-20 individual wasps. Paper wasps will attack if they feel threatened or if their nest is disturbed. Identified by their bright yellow antennae.

The European wasp is an imported pest. It is an aggressive, scavenging pest that is most active between November to May. These Wasps deliver a very painful sting that can be used repeatedly to drive off predators.

European wasp colonies are concealed underground, in buildings or other out of sight places.

Identified by their distinctive bright yellow legs and black antennae.
